Stage Challenge

Dear parents / Caregivers,

Your daughter has been selected as a member of the 2008 Stage Challenge team. As this is a privilege to be in, we would appreciate your support to make this the best Stage Challenge we can make it. For term one, as you will know, students must come to one practice a week. However in term two they must be available for both practices (Tuesday 3.35 – 5.35 and Wednesday 6.30 – 8.30). Times each week may vary (in terms of length) however the students will still be required to attend and while they are not rehearsing their piece will help with set and costumes. If there is an absence please sign a note explaining the absence. Failure to turn up to more than three practices will result in having to meet with Miss Goldsworthy to discuss the consequences.

The cost of being in the Stage Challenge team for 2008 is $25 which helps to cover some of the costs of set and costumes. It does not go towards transport for the final performance.

This year we will be performing in Auckland at the Aotea Centre. The performance will be on either Thursday 12^th or Friday the 13^th of June. Please note that Friday the 13^th is our Field days holiday should we be scheduled on that day, girls will need to fulfil the commitment to Stage Challenge. All members of Stage Challenge Performance and crew will be traveling up on buses. Support buses will be organised if there is a high enough demand for them.

If you have any sewing abilities we would appreciate your help for costumes. The sewing bee would be two hours a week on either the Tuesday or Wednesday practice times, or at home in your own time. Please indicate below if you are able to help out.

There are a large number of costs associated with Stage Challenge so if you are interested in sponsoring the Dio Stage Challenge please indicate below and we will get in contact with you. Part of our set includes plastic pluming and fire retardant paint/spray if you can donate either of these please also indicate below.
